Trunk or Treat

So our ward/neighborhood trunk or treat party was on Wednesday.  I volunteered us to do a trunk, but I didn't want to spend lots of money on decorations so this is what $10 buys you at the dollar store (see picture below).  I think it turned out alright.  Jason's costume was a big hit.  People thought it was pretty funny although they kept offering him work..here's the thing: he doesn't actually want to work for candy.  I went with the trusty ol' girl scout costume that has seen many a Halloween.  Halloween always seems to sneak up on me (probably because I'm too focused on my birthday) and I never have a costume planned, which leaves me running around frantic at the last minute having to buy overpriced, stupid wigs and things. I wanted to be homeless with Jason, but I couldn't figure out what to wear so girl scout it was.  The party was a huge success I'd say.  There were tons of people and TONS of kids.  We ran out of candy, which is pretty unfortunate since that leaves none for me or the kids that may knock on our door on Monday.

I decided to pay homage to the girl scout costume by posting some previous wearings.  I must also give proper credit to Kelsey for making the outfit and being the first to be a girl scout for Halloween and then for letting me wear it for multiple Halloweens. Here are Jason and I in 2009.  That's right 2 years ago when we had just about been dating for 2 months.  Pretty cute, huh?  We haven't changed, have we?....

And here are Aud and me in 2004!  This was at my 20th b-day party.  I honestly cannot believe this was taken 7 years ago.  SEVEN! I'll be honest I had a bit of a break down last night when I was trying to find this picture.  It's just hard to believe college was really that long ago.  Sometimes I hate getting older.  But such is life and the last 7 years have been full of great things like graduating from college, going on a mission, meeting Jason and finally getting married!  So I guess 27 isn't all that bad even if I am officially entering into my late 20s...I'm excited to see what the next few years will bring!
