The Great Outdoors

And just like that fall is here.  It seems like the temperature dropped 10 degrees as soon as September hit.  I can't complain though; fall is my favorite season I think.  I love the cooler evenings and I can't wait for the changing leaves.  If only winter didn't always follow...  We're trying to take advantage of the last month or so of good weather so we've been getting up in the mountains as much as we can.  The other night we went up Big Cottonwood canyon to hike donut falls with the family.  It's a really short hike, but real pretty.

This is the donut part.

We also had a camp out at Camp Christensen aka Jason's parent's backyard the other weekend.  It was a great time.  We roasted mallows and dogs and then slept under the stars in the yard.  How's that for camping in the wilderness?

Last week Jason and I went up Millcreek to hike part of the pipeline trail.  It's so gorgeous up there.  Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time so we didn't make it very far, but it was still nice to get out and do something.  I think we're going to take the mountain bikes up there on Saturday and ride the trail.  Hopefully nobody crashes...

Also, we retook our wedding pictures at the temple the other week.  They turned out a lot better than the first go round.  I'll post some as soon as I get them...hopefully I'll get the cds soon.
Isn't he handsome?
